Third step: To trust and be loyal to each other
Fourth step: To appreciate knowledge, values, sacrifice and service
Fifth step: To keep their vow of purity, love family and spiritual growth
Sixth step: To follow Dharma
Seventh step: To have an eternal bond of friendship and love

The groom then applies red sindoor(vermilion) accepting the bride as his wife and adorns her with the mangalsutra(a necklace signifying married woman). The couple is then blessed by the members of the family.

Vidai – This is a ceremony that happens after the vows are taken.
