Who was your first inspiration in this event industry?

There wasn’t much inspiration at the beginning of my career, but through the years I loved the designs of Preston Bailey and creative catering from Good Gracious Events

What do you wish you have known before getting started?

How much I would love the business, but also how much it would consume my life

Would you consider yourself as a mentor? How important are mentors when it comes to business industries?

Yes. It’s very important that people give back to the industry that has supported them so well.

What changes do your for-see in the near future in this industry?

I would hope that more vendors appreciate the work, the assistance and the support that wedding coordinators bring to the success of a wedding. And that more venues would require coordinators before booking events

What would you recommend to the newly aspired event planners across the nation?

To be patient, to realize that no job is too small, take advantage of any job they can get along the way because each can be a learning experience that can help them in the future and in the success of their own company.
