Why Your Wedding Planner is your Best Friend.

After so many years in the event business, I still hear horror stories about other event planners. After doing some searching and a little friendly digging, it turns out…that they are NOT your Best Friend for the day-of (wedding planners)….they are the VC….I mean, the Venue’s Coordinator! I have to set the record straight. One of the virtues a wedding planners live by is helping you find the best vendor, who knows what you’ll be happy with at the best reasonable rate. When a VC refers you to her “trusted network”…..it does not always mean that they are looking out for what’s best for you. Some vendors throw kickbacks to encourage more referrals and some just see you as an easy target. Besides the budget, timeline with logistics can make it or break it. Please please understand, your VC is only responsible for what is in the contract with the venue (period) ……nothing else are they bound with to be accountable for. “She didn't package up any cake or food to go! After barely eating ANYTHING all day” Says past bride and today’s top wedding planner, Becca Smith of Florid. And it does not stop there. Wedding planners are more then the coordinator, as a friend, they act as a liaison between you and  some of those people you don’t want to deal with on “YOUR” day. As a friend we look out for what is best for you till the end, says Veronika Khar, Bay Areas Savy Planner. Its your day, use it happily.
