As a wedding planner, I think it is my job to provide you with the best experience for your summer wedding. Because you don’t get married every summer I’m here to help you know what to expect and what to avoid for your summer wedding reception. So here are a few more do’s and don’ts for your summer wedding.
· Do plan a late afternoon or evening wedding. The weather in Sacramento is not going to be as hot and sweaty after 5pm as it would be at 12pm.
· Don’t forget the sunscreen and bug spray. If you’re planning an outdoor wedding, especially in the summer, there will probably be bugs. A good way to keep them from bothering your guests is with bug spray or special candles to keep mosquitoes away. Provide sunscreen for everyone. Place them at the entrance or in the bathroom, so that everyone would have the chance to grab it and not get sunburn.

Do provide light appetizers. Don’t try to fill up the guests. Sometimes people get overheated and they will not feel good if they are over-the-head full. Providing light snacks and drinks will insure that your guests will not go hungry in case they drove in from out of town.
